Waterproof Flooring Options

If you’re looking to add a new floor to your home setting, don’t let moisture prevent you from choosing something super-stylish. Visit J.C. Jacobs Carpet One Floor & Home in Rock Springs to take advantage of our wide selection of waterproof flooring. Waterproof floors are ideal for many homes, especially if you have kids, pets, or messy guests, and they can protect you from all kinds of accidents and mishaps.

Benefits of Waterproof Flooring

There are many benefits to choosing waterproof flooring for your home. One of the primary benefits of waterproof floors is that you can rely on them when there are accidental spills or messes. The watertight seal doesn’t allow liquids to seep below the surface, so you can trust that if you miss a mess, it won’t ruin a portion of your floors.

Another benefit of waterproof floors is that your pets, kids, and guests don’t stand a chance against it! Whether it’s a pet’s bathroom accident or your kids spilled milk, waterproof floors can handle all kinds of daily wear and tear.

We carry three different types of waterproof flooring options in our showroom, luxury vinyl, tile, and carpet.

Waterproof Vinyl

One of the more popular waterproof flooring options is luxury vinyl flooring. Why has this become so popular? Some luxury vinyl flooring products are 100% waterproof, but they look just like real wood or stone. Luxury vinyl is waterproof because of its composite, specially-engineered construction.

Many luxury vinyl flooring options even have strong waterproof cores. These floors are part of a relatively new category known as WPC flooring. With these cores, the vinyl planks and tiles are as rigid as wood, and they also are exceptionally stable. As a result, even when exposed to the heavy moisture you’d expect from kitchens and bathrooms, these luxury vinyl floors won’t expand or contract.

Waterproof Tile

When you think of waterproof flooring, tile flooring is probably one of the first options to come to mind. Tile has been the flooring choice for bathrooms and kitchens for a number of years, and it continues to be one of the most popular.

All tiles are considered water-resistant, but some do offer greater resistance than others. Porcelain tiles, for example, handle moisture better than ceramic tiles. Be sure to work with our tile experts to determine which tiles are suitable for your specific setting.

Waterproof Carpet

For the most part, carpet is not considered a waterproof flooring option, but we do offer Tigressá® H2O as part of our selection. Tigressá® H2O, which is exclusive to Carpet One stores, has a strong thermoplastic backing, so moisture will never seep through the carpet and reach the subfloor. As a result, Tigressa H2O is 100% waterproof!
